Welcome To the Jspot
What's in a Facial? A facial cleanses, exfoliates and nourishes the skin to promote clear, well-hydrated skin.
What To Expect?
Every facial begins with a skin analysis. At this time the esthetician will decide what products will benefit your skin the most. Next, your skin will be cleansed, exfoliated (usually w/steam or hot towels), extraction of blackheads/pimples are performed during this time,if needed. Facial massage is performed to relax the facial muscles and stimulate the skin, followed by the appropriate mask, toners, and creams for your skin type. At the end of your treatment your home care regimen will be designed.
How Often?
A facial should be done every 4-6 weeks to allow skin time to rejuvenate. At the very least you should have one 4 times a year when the seasons change because your skin type can change as well. If you are working on a particular skin problem you may be advised to have them more often.
Different Skin Types
Normal skin- produces a healthy amount of sebum (a natural healthy skin lubricant) neither dry nor oily in feel
Dry skin- not enough sebum is produced to maintain a naturally lubricated surface. It can be hereditary or due to overexposure to sun and environmental elements.
Oily skin- is caused by over-active glands which produce too much sebum and makes the skin thick and heavy in texture.
Sensitive skin- reacts unfavorably to chemicals and environmental factors such as, sun, wind, cold, and cosmetic ingredients.
